Who are the ones to watch?
The United States have had a resurgence in recent years with many young stars breaking through and looking very promising with several of the big names still under the age of 25.
Chelsea's Christian Pulisic is no doubt the pick of the bunch - still just 24 the winger will no doubt be USA's star man at the World Cup. With 21 goals in 52 games for the USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter will look to him as the focal point around his team. Pulisic was not always the first name on the team sheet for his club under Thomas Tuchel. But with the new manager, Graham Potter things could change and he could become a main player for Chelsea in the Premier League ahead of the build-up to Qatar.
Another name to look out for is Juventus' Weston McKennie - the midfielder has become a prominent player for Juve this season. Following the injury to new signing Paul Pogba McKennie has adopted a starting role. With 1 goal in eight games for the Old Lady in all competitions. He'll be looking to add to his 37 caps and nine goals in the World Cup in two months time.
Under new American coach Jesse March Leeds' United have signed a couple of the USMNT's stars in Brendan Aaronson and Tyler Adams - both of who have played a significant role for Leeds this season. Aaronson is already off the mark for Leeds this season with one goal and one assist in six Premier League games. Both Americans have helped Leeds to a respectable 11th place finish with more to offer for the season. Both will no doubt be starters for the USMNT in Qatar.
Other names to look out for in the USMNT are Sergino Dest a fullback for AC Milan, Arsenal's second-choice keeper Matt Turner, 19-year-old Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah and son of George Weah - Timothy playing for Lille in Ligue 1.
