Michail Antonio equalises for West Ham as Liverpool fail to hold on to a lead in vital game to keep the Premier League title hopes alive.
West Ham opened the scoring in the 43rd minute through Jarrod Bowen before Andrew Roberston equalised just after the break in the 48th minute.
Cody Gakpo forced a West Ham own goal to fire Liverpool in the lead in the 65th minute but Michail Antonio’s header cancelled it out in the 77th minute.
The first half was fairly open across the board with both sides having chances on goal but none too testing of either keeper.
Bowen had the first real opportunity in the 14th minute as he picked up a ball and shot from the edge of the area but could not get enough curl on his ball which was dealt with by well by Alisson.
Trent Alexander-Arnold had a chance to repeat his freekick goal he scored against Fulham from a great area in the 20th minute but on this occasion, it was blazed over the bar.
Liverpool was denied a clear penalty due to Luis Diaz being offside in the build-up, Gakpo was cleanly taken out by the West Ham keeper but the Hammers were saved by the flag.
West Ham had another great effort to find their goal this time through Vladmir Coufal in the 31st minute whose strike took a deflection, but the Liverpool keeper did well to claim it.
Two minutes later Harvey Elliott had a chance but could only find the side net after a ball across to him on the right.
West Ham were the side who opened the scoring, Mohamed Kudus whipped in a ball into the area in the 43rd minute and Bowen was there to head home despite having bodies around him.
Three minutes after the break Liverpool were straight back into it, Diaz played a short ball into Robertson whose tame effort snuck in despite Alphonse Areola getting a glove on it to equalise for the travelling side.
In the 65th minute, Gakpo forced his side into the lead his strike was deflected by Angelo Ogbonna and found its way into the back of the net off of the Hammers goalkeeper.
Areola was equal to a Diaz curling effort in the 74th minute, the French keeper had a busy afternoon but was solid in between the sticks.
However, up the other end, Bowen turned provided playing in an inch-perfect cross to Antonio who headed home with no Liverpool pressure.
Liverpool had a golden chance for a winner in the 84th minute, Mohamed Salah, off the bench, played a ball across the face of the goal but Coufal prevented Darwin Nunez with a last-minute sliding challenge.
Salah became a danger again as he ran from deep but played the ball behind Nunez who found Elliott who shot from range, but his effort cannoned off the bar.
West Ham had a golden chance at the death of the game with a freekick, which found Antonio, but his strike was blocked and out for a corner, but the referee blew for full time.
