The 2023/24 Premier League season has been electric so far, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been fighting tooth and nail for every point in order to potentially claim a title at the end of the campaign.
Pep Guardiola and his Sky Blues have not run away with it so far with Liverpool and Arsenal still in good stead to lift the trophy come May.
Across the competition there have been several young players who have enjoyed stellar seasons, breaking through into their sides and making a real impact.
With that being said, GIVEMESPORT has selected five Premier League players who are enjoying breakthrough seasons in 2023/24.
Kobbie Mainoo
Manchester United
The Red Devils currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table, although that is not where a lot of fans would want their club to be at this stage in the competition, one thing that they can be happy with is the emergence of young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
A product of their academy which has produced the likes of David Beckham, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville. At just 18 years of age Mainoo plays above his years, even making his full senior England debut this term as well. With excellent ball retention and recovery, the midfielder will no doubt be a big player in Manchester United’s quest to return to their former glory.

Cole Palmer
Chelsea
Eyebrows were raised when Chelsea paid £40million for Manchester City’s underused player Cole Palmer but they have made that look like pocket change. Palmer has been nothing short of spectacular for the Blues registering 20 goals and nine assists in his debut season in West London.
At 21 years of age, Palmer is not the youngest on this list, but this is his first season of senior football where he has been a regular starter. Capable of playing behind the striker, on either wing or even up front, the Manchester-born player has been a real star this season, he may and well tip Erling Haaland as the Premier League top scorer come the end of the season.

Joao Gomes
Wolverhampton Wanderers
The Brazilian midfielder was purchased by Wolves in January of last season from Flamengo but could not find a way to break into the side. That was until Wolves sold their star player Ruben Neves to Al Hilal in the summer.
The 23-year-old has shown just how good he is in the Premier League. With great technical qualities, tenacious and aggressive pressing and he can even chip in with goals, showcasing this against Wolves’ 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur in February. His performances in the Midlands have even earned him his first caps for his nation.

Connor Bradley
Liverpool
After winning player of the year last season for Bolton Wanderers in League One, Jurgen Klopp was keen to add the Northern Irishman to the first team going into 2023/34. An early injury limited his minutes but after a return and an injury to starting right back Trent Alexander-Arnold, he found himself starting.
The 20-year-old grasped this opportunity and more, showing how good he can be with fantastic performances playing high up the pitch as a modern, attacking fullback. Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over Chelsea in January was a standout performance registering his first ever Premier League goal and also two assists as he cruised to the Man of the Match Award. Liverpool fans thought they would never want anyone else to play at right-back other than Trent, but with Bradley’s displays his spot is not as safe as it once was.

Jarrad Branthwaite
Everton
The Toffees’ season has been all over the place, largely in fact to points deductions which would see them sit higher up in the table than their current 16th place. One highlight of their disappointing campaign has been the breakthrough of centre back Jarrad Branthwaite.
After impressing on loan at PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands last season, Branthwaite was given the nod to start in the heart of defence by Everton manager Sean Dyche this term.
The Carlsie-born defender repaid his manager’s faith with strong performances at the back and showed his threat from set pieces with two goals so far. Left-footed defenders are somewhat of a rarity, and this only adds to Brathwaite's stock with several clubs looking to make a move for him in the summer.
