PREVIEW: Dagenham & Redbridge vs Hartlepool United

Hartlepool United face Dagenham & Redbridge away at Victoria Road this evening at 7pm.

Dagenham are in a fairly comfortable 16th place in the National League, but most clubs would want to be higher up and fighting for promotion which I no doubt they are.

Last time out Hartlepool beat Woking late on thanks to a Rhys Oates goal and Pools should be looking to get more goals in this one.

Dagenham won 1-0 in their last game also with Will Wright scoring late on to give them all three points.

The Daggers are in great form, not lost in five games and scored in each of those so it could prove to be a tricky game for Hartlepool.

The two sides have played each other twice before, with Daq&Red winning 3-1 back in 2019 and then Pools winning 1-0 in the return fixture.

Dag&Red have a fairly decent squad, Paul McCallum upfront is always a threat on goal and the experienced wide men Angelo Balanta and Myles Weston make a pretty terrifying front three.

Lewis Cass and Timi Odusina are both back from suspension and ready for selection but Joe Grey will still miss through injury.

The Beautiful Game predicts a 2-1 win for Hartlepool United, Luke Armstrong needs a goal and the other will come from Rhys Oates.
