Yesterday Pools announced the signing of free agent Theo Robinson following his release from Bradford City at the end of last season.
A vastly experienced centre forward, Robinson will add some needed firepower to the frontline and hopefully help Pools climb the table.
A 33-year-old, 5"11 striker, he has scored 128 goals in 541 games in a career that has spanned 16 years.
Last season, he netted four times in 26 games under Mark Hughes for the Bantams but failed to earn an extension to his one-year deal.
He started his career with Watford making six appearances for the club including one in the Premier League.
Robinson has now played for 16 different clubs with his largest spell coming with 83 games for Southend United between 2016 and 2020 - he scored 13 goals during this time.
Watford, Wealdstone, Hereford United, Southend United, Huddersfield Town, Millwall, Derby County, Doncaster Rovers, Scunthorpe United, Motherwell, Port Vale, Lincoln City, Swindon Town, Colchester United, Bradford City and now Hartlepool United complete the full list of the clubs he has represented.
In 2013, while playing for Derby County, he won seven caps for Jamaica joining a large list of British-born players who have played for the Caribbean Island.
Having played in the Premier League, the Championship, League One, League Two, the National League and the Scottish Premier League, Robinson joins an exclusive list of players.
Hopefully Robinson can form a great partnership with Josh Umerah and help Pools pick up more wins in League Two this season.
