LOAN WATCH: Superb Wilson hattrick, surprise Grujic goal and van den Berg right wing back

Due to the protests of the Manchester United owners, Liverpool's game was postponed due to safety concerns.


Let's see how the Liverpool players out on loan performed instead:

 

Takumi Minamino - Southampton

Taki started Friday nights Premier League clash against Leicester and despite going down to ten men early, the Saints claimed a point - Minamino got carded in the game also.


Southampton remained in 15th place, all but safe from relegation in the Premier League.

Harvey Elliott - Blackburn Rovers

The 18 year-old came off the bench in the 83rd minute as Blackburn drew 1-1 with Rotherham away from home - keeping them in 15th place in the Championship.

Harry Wilson & Sheyi Ojo - Cardiff City

Wilson netted a superb hattrick for Cardiff, featuring a lovely curved effort from outside of the box and two direct free kick goals.


The Welshman really proved what he can do in this game and surely Jurgen Klopp will be keeping a closer eye on him after this performance.


Cardiff beat Birmingham City 4-0 away from home, Ojo was an unused substitute in this game - they stayed in eighth place in the Championship.

Sepp van den Berg - Preston North End

Van den Berg again played the full game at right wing back, keeping a clean sheet and helping his side to a 2-0 win at home to playoff hopefuls Barnsley.


The three points climbed them up to 13th place in the Championship table.

Liam Millar - Charlton Athletic

The Canadian international has been ever present in the Charlton side since January and played again at left wing in a 2-2 draw against Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night.


Charlton left it late on Saturday to claim a point, scoring in the 95th minute, Millar came off the bench in the 74th.


With two games to go, Charlton are four points off a playoff place in League One - could it be done?

Loris Karius and Taiwo Awoniyi - FC Union Berlin

It was cup weekend in Germany, as they were out of DFB-Pokal Union Berlin did not have a game.

Marko Grujic - FC Porto

On Monday, Grujic came off the bench in the 77th minute and helped his side claim a point away at Moreirense.


Then the Serb got his first goal of the season, the third goal in a 3-2 victory over Famalicao at home - he started and played the full game also picking up a yellow card from his efforts.


The four points through the week kept them in second place in Liga Nos.

Lewis did not feature for Argyle, they lost 3-1 at home to Sunderland in League One and they stayed in 18th place.

The Pole kept his place in goal yesterday as they lost 3-2 to FC Copenhagen in the Danish Superligaen - keeping them in fourth in the group championship stages.

Vítězslav Jaroš - St Patrick's Athletic

Jaros kept another clean sheet on Friday as St Pats cruised past Longford Town 3-0 at home.

Yesterday, they drew with Sligo Rovers 1-1, Jaros played in goal, and they dropped down to second in the Irish Premier Division after Shamrock Rovers won their game.
