Minamino missed out on Southampton's 9-0 defeat by Manchester United on Tuesday, as the game came too quick after his transfer.
The Japanese international made his debut for the Saints on Saturday and scored, in a 3-2 defeat against Newcastle away at St. James' Park.
After the two defeats Southampton are currently sitting in 12th place in the Premier League.

Elliott played in a new role for Blackburn, upfront as a false 9, but he was not as effective and Rovers lost 1-0 away at QPR, but they stayed in eighth place in the Championship.

Cardiff moved up to 14th place in the Championship thanks to a 2-0 victory over Bristol City away in the Championship.

Liam Millar - Charlton Athletic
Millar came off the bench at halftime for Charlton but lost 3-1 at home to Portsmouth on Tuesday.
However, Millar started on Saturday and got as assist and won man of the match from left midfield as Charlton beat Rochdale 2-0 away from home.
The win fired them up to 6th place in League One and into the playoff spots.

Van den Berg joined on loan as part of the deal that meant Ben Davies came to Liverpool and the dutchman made his debut on Saturday.
As he came off the bench at Deepdale as his new side lost 2-1 to Rotherham, keeping them in 11th place in the Championship.

Karius returned to the bench on Saturday and did not feature but Awonyiyi started on Saturday, but 10 man Union Berlin lost 1-0 away at Mainz.

On Monday, Grujic came off the bench in 80th minute to help Porto see out a 2-0 win at home to Rio Ave.
He then was an unused substitute on Thursday and Sunday as Porto drew 0-0 with Belenenses away from home and drew 2-2 with Braga away also.
After gaining the five points Porto still remained in second place in Liga NOS.
