LOAN WATCH: EFL final week

Liverpool got all three points in what seems live forever on Saturday night with Sadio Mane and Thiago getting the goals to light the fire of the top three.


With the season coming to an end, a lot of players have played their last games for their clubs out on loan.


How did they get on this season and where did they finish?

 

Takumi Minamino - Southampton


Minamino could not play against his parent club - Southampton dropped to 17th place in the Premier League.


After Fulham's 2-0 loss to Burnley confirmed they would be the third and final team to drop down to the Championship last night the Saints are safe.

Harvey Elliott - Blackburn Rovers

Elliott ended his fantastic loan spell with a goal in a 5-2 thrashing of Birmingham City at Ewood Park.


Blackburn finished in 15th place in the Championship, not where they would have wanted to be at the start of the season.

Harry Wilson & Sheyi Ojo - Cardiff City

Wilson kept his place at left forward after his superb hat trick last week, he made way for Sheyi Ojo as they both played their last games of the season for Cardiff.


Cardiff equalised late on to relegate Rotherham in a 1-1 draw at home, they finished in eighth place in the Championship.

Sepp van den Berg - Preston North End

Van den Berg played his last game for Preston on Saturday, playing the full game at right wing back in a 2-1 victory away at Nottingham Forest.


Preston finished the season in 16th place in the Championship with the Dutchman playing a big role in helping keep things tidy at the back and keeping good form at the end of the season.

Liam Millar - Charlton Athletic

On Tuesday, Millar got an assist and one man of the match in a 3-1 against Lincoln at home.


With the playoff dream still alive, Millar played the full game at left mid as they beat Hull 1-0 - but just missed out.


Level on points with Oxford, they finished in seventh place in League One due to goal difference.

Loris Karius and Taiwo Awoniyi - FC Union Berlin


Both Liverpool players again missed out in this game a 3-0 defeat away at Wolfsburg and they remained in eighth place in the Bundesliga with two games to go.

Marko Grujic - FC Porto

The Serbian midfielder was an unused substitute as Porto drew 1-1 against Benfica away from home on Thursday.


Grujic then started in centre mid, picking up a yellow card, as Porto cruised past Farense 5-1 at home - keeping them in second place.

Adam Lewis - Plymouth Argyle


Injury kept him out of Plymouth's final game, a 1-0 defeat against Gillingham, they finished in 18th place in League One.

Kamil Grabara - AGF

The Pole kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory away at Randers in the Danish Superligaen - remaining in fourth place in the table.

Vítězslav Jaroš - St Patrick's Athletic

Jaros suffered his first defeat of the season in a 2-1 defeat against Shamrock Rovers away from home.


They remained in second place in the Irish Premier Division, however, despite the defeat.
