Hartlepool signed three new players before the transfer window closed on Thursday, these were Brad James, Zaine Francis-Angol and Harvey Saunders.
Along with Richie Bennett, Danny Elliott and Jake Cooper who have been signed recently, all these new players are gonna help for that final promotion push for Pools.
But who are the new lads that have been brought in?
Brad James
The 21 year old shotstopper joins on loan from local side Middlesbrough, this season he has been put on loan at Aldershot.
He has played 12 games, conceding 15 goals and keeping four clean sheets in that time and Aldershot are now in a respectable 11th place in the National League.
James will offer competition for both Henrich Ravas and Brad Young and will help them with training.
Zaine Francis-Angol
Francis-Angol is a left back, who can also play as a left winger and comes in as some much needed cover for the left wing back position.
The 27 year old recently left Boreham Wood and has made over 200 league appearances so has a wealth of experience and is a fantastic addition.
Born in England, Francis-Angol has played for Antigua and Barbuda 18 times which can only be a good thing for Pools ahead of this final stretch of the season.
Harvey Saunders
Born in Wolverhampton, Saunders grew up in the North East and broke through non-league playing for Darlington Railway Athletic, Bishop Auckland and Durham City.
He got his breakthrough at Darlington where he performed well at a young age and moved up to Fleetwood Town in League One in 2019.
This season he has eight goals and one assist in 29 games in all competitions for Fleetwood and he should offer some great competition for all of Pools' forwards.
With Richie Bennett's Hartlepool near future up in the air it is important that Pools' have enough options up front and although another forward was not particularly needed it is welcomed and it was smart piece of business.
