Report: Vibes 2-0 Stag and Monkey

Vibes dominate to earn first three points since October against Stag and Monkey

Vibes started strongly with a goal from Michael Connolly in just the second minute as Jamie Jobson worked hard to win the ball back high up the pitch and played it to Connolly who curled it into the top corner.

There were no real chances for either side after that until the 32nd minute when Connolly played it in to Joppa but the striker could not get his shot off.

Anthony Thompson had a chance two minutes later but he dragged his shot just wide of the post after coming in from the right.

The second half was more of the same, no real chances but Vibes completely in control, Stag and Monkey did not threaten the defence at all.

In the 75th minute the Stag and Monkey number 11 got sin-binned and his side were temporarily down to ten men.

The second for Vibes came in the 86th minute Barry Milligan laid the ball off to Elliott Campbell who whipped in a great ball over the top of the defence.

The Stag and Monkey defender misjudged the bounce and it fell kindly to Joppa who finished it simply - a well deserved goal for his hardwork.

Fantastic three points on the board, man of the match goes to Ollie Watt for a great shift in centre back, really sured things up.

Shoutouts to Craig Altringham for controlling the game from start to finish in midfield and Joppa for his hard work up top - but everyone gave everything in this game to get the win.
