After a long break over Christmas 7VEN return with three points thanks to goals from Harrison Smith (2) and Michael Snowdon.
Despite the long period without a game 7VEN looked sharp from the off and it came to fruition in the 13th minute when Smith opened the scoring.
Patrick Mulvey came inside from right-wing back and played in the 7VEN forward who produced a simple finish for the first goal of 2024.
It took just four minutes for his second, Mulvey was involved again this time playing Snowdon out wide who produced an inch-perfect cross that Smith met beautifully at the back post.
That was the last real action of the first half, Owton Manor had very little action on the sight of goal, the rust from no games from either side well and truly set in.
However, the home side found their way back into the game just a minute after the break, a mix-up at the back from 7VEN and the Manor forward managed to squeeze it in past Adam Linsel.
7VEN did not admit defeat and in the 55th minute got back their two-goal advantage through Michael Snowdon.
The skipper was found by an expertly placed ball by Craig Altiringham and he only had the keeper to beat and he did just that, slotting it past him from the left.
In the 70th minute, Manor found another lifeline, this time from the spot as Olly Burrows fouled his man inside the area and was converted and made it 3-2.
That was the last real action of the game, 7VEN were comfortable throughout, despite the scoreline suggesting otherwise.
It was tighter than it needed to be, but it was a well-earned three points on Sunday morning, Man of the Match goes to Lewis Boylen after another outstanding display in central midfield. UT7.
