Match Report: 7VEN FC 4-1 Owton Manor

7VEN claim first win of the season with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Owton Manor side thanks to a Michael Snowdon hattrick and an Elliott Campbell goal.

7VEN started the game a bit rocky and it was the Owton Manor who opened the scoring in the game, Barry Milligan played a short pass back to Adam Linsel who took down Sean Wilson and the referee pointed to the spot - Brandon Roberts stepped up and converted the penalty.

The Divvies weren't out for long as just three minutes later, Sam Harrison played a superb ball over the top to Michael Snowdon and expertly fired his shot into the back of the net after he made a great run from left-wingback.

Just before halftime, Anth Thompson took down his man in a great area for Owton Manor to hit a freekick but thankfully the effort was easily claimed by Linsel.

7VEN had a point to prove after the break and in the 52nd minute found themselves in front for the first time in the match, Snowdon got his second of the game, Ollie Watt made a great run forward and found Jack Stonehouse who played it to the goalscorer who dispatched his effort into the bottom corner.

Just five minutes later the 2022/23 top goalscorer completed his hattrick, this time it was Adam Thompson who was the provider as he found his way into the box and squared it to Snowdon who tapped it home.

The game settled with 7VEN taking control of the match, not giving the Owton Manor any way to get back into the game.

In the 69th minute Snowdon turned provider who played a ball across the box his fellow wingback Elliott Campbell was there to slide it in at the far post.

After some substitutions for 7VEN the goals subdued but the performance stayed solid and the home side managed to see out the game.

Man of the Match goes to hattrick hero, the skipper, Michael Snowdon for another big performance in a 7VEN shirt.
