REPORT: Travellers Rest 1-8 7VEN FC

7VEN dominate Travellers Rest in the Champions League with six different goalscorers.

7VEN got things going just ten minutes into the game as Michael Gallagher played a defence-splitting ball to find Barry Milligan 10 yards out who slipped it under the keeper.

A long high ball in behind from Rory Barker on his debut finds Michael Snowdon who eloquently uses his first touch to knock it over the keeper and his second to volley it home.

The Travellers Rest goal came from a corner, it was a scramble in the box and then an overhead kick which was headed in by Alex Costello on the line.

A third for 7VEN was added through Michael Snowdon after Craig Altringham beat his man with style then slipped Ollie Watt into the penalty area who squared it to the 7VEN number 7.

Craig Altringham once again broke the lines with his through balls, this time to Joe Cockrill, who composed himself and slipped the ball between the keeper's legs.

The ball found its way out to skipper Snowdon, who fired it low across the face of the goal, with Ollie Watt the first to react and beat the keeper at his near post.

A sixth is added when Thompson sprayed the ball to the left-hand side to Ben Relton off the bench, who slides it to the byline for fellow substitute Olly Burrows to loft it to the back post for Cockrill to get his brace.

The ball comes from the opposite side this time, Watt sets it back to Alringham who whipped in a tremendous ball to the back post finding Relton to volley home on his left foot.

The final goal to make it 8-1 came from a corner from Watt who found Jack Musgrave in the area who leapt the highest to nod home.

A fantastic showing from the full squad, lads off the bench made a real impact in the game and it was a great win in the Champions League. Man of the match in the game went to Craig Altringham who was superb in the midfield throughout. UT7.
