Report: Vibes 1-5 AFC Supporters

Vibes crash out of County Cup after 5-1 defeat to Premiership side AFC Supporters

Supporters came to Brierton and started strong, with the number 18 having some chances on goal but nothing to trouble Adam Linsel in Vibes' net.

Liam Wright came in from the left hand side for Supporters in the 11th minute and had a shot but Linsel was equal to it and claimed.

In the 13th minute the first for the away side came, as a pass split the defence and the number 18 finished well into the bottom corner.

The second came five minutes later, as Linsel was about to collect the ball after a tame shot the man coming in snatched the ball and snook it in the near post.

Supporters got their third in the 35th minute as a man free at the back post finished well after a cross into the area.

In the 41st minute number 14 got another goal as he is played through on the wing and comes inside and slots it through the legs of Linsel.

However, fortunes could have turned around and after some link up play from Michael Snowdon and Lewis Boylen, Snowdon found John Sutherland in the box who smashed it home to make it 4-1 just before half time.

Fortunes did not turn around and the second half saw little action from either side, as Vibes could not break Supporters down and the away side took their foot off the gas.

Matty Doughty got his obligatory foul on the edge of the area in the 68th minute to give Supporters a good free kick opportunity but the effort on goal was claimed well by Linsel.

Supporters got their fifth in the 85th minute, I'll be honest I didn't see it or care to ask what happened, well done Supporters.

Jamie Jobson had a chance for a goal in the 89th minute as he was played through one on one but his shot was straight at the Supporters keeper.

Bad day at the office, out of the county cup, win streak over, time to focus on the league - Lewis Boylen man of the match.
