Report: Throston Wanderers 7-4 FC Vibes

10-man Vibes made things difficult for Throston Wanderers who leave it late to win the game

After a very impressive performance last week, Vibes beat 13 FC 6-2, Ollie Watt's side were short on numbers this week as attention turned to Champions League action.

Despite being a man down from the first whistle Vibes took a shock early lead six minutes into the game, Olly Burrows latched onto a loose ball from the Wanderers defence and the utility man squeezed it in from a tight angle.

However, on the 15th minute mark the home side equalised in the game for the first time, and a free kick whipped into the box that was headed in by number 5.

Wanderers took the lead in the 27th minute, as a through ball split the Vibes defence in two and the number 6 rounded Adam Linsel and slotted it in.

After Ben Ward turned up, Vibes were up to 11 men and immediately found an equaliser, Elliott Campbell sent a free-kick in towards the penalty box and Burrows was there to grab his second of the game with a thumping header.

Campbell showcased his crossing ability once again to put his side into the lead, Jamie Jobson poked home El's cross to the back post and Vibes went into the break as first-half winners.

Five minutes after half-time Wanderers equalised once again, a ball was played into the box, Linsel failed to connect as he came out to claim and Wanderers snuck it in.

He redeemed his mistake with a great stop in the 58th minute as Wanderers tried to catch the Vibes shot-stopper out with a quick free-kick.

Vibes showed just how good they are in the 65th minute as Anth Thompson played one of his trademark over-the-top balls, Aiden Lamb latched onto it and superbly finished to fire Vibes into the lead once again.

In spite of Vibes' battling to stay on top, the lack of subs and tricky surface got the better of them and in the 83rd minute, Wanderers equalised again, through their number 6.

Just two minutes later Wanderers grabbed what would the winner in the game as the number 6 completed his hat trick with a tidy finish.

Another two minutes later Throston well and truly seen off the game, the number 5 smashed home a 6th from close range.

One to forget for Vibes' resident frog, as he let a tame shot slip out of his hands and into the path of Wanderers number 20 who walked the ball into the net. Game Over. As referee Paul Beddow blew for full-time after the restart.

Massive credit to Vibes who dug deep in the game and on another day would have got the win but it wasn't meant to be.

Olly Burrows with another man of the match as he looked like a goal threat playing in central midfield for the first time in a Vibes shirt. Dick of the day, sorry Linsel.
