Vibes get off to winning ways in the Champions League after a 3-1 victory over Pavilion Bar thanks to goals from James Hogan (2) and Michael Snowdon
Hogan opened the scoring immediately, relishing his first start of the season. Alex Costello sent a ball forward to Aiden Lamb, who squared it to Snowdon, his shot was blocked off the line but Hogan was there to fire the ball home.
In the 13th minute, Vibes doubled the lead. Ollie Watt played a great ball over the defence, from centre-back, Hogan got on the end of it and one-on-one smashed it into the bottom corner.
However, two minutes later Pavilion Bar got one back, Lewis Cowan played a free kick into the area - Adam Linsel was equal to it but could not get a hold of the ball and it fell to Billy Kidd who halved the deficit. What a busy 15 minutes in the game.
In the 41st minute, Vibes made it 3-1, Hogan latched onto a sloppy back pass from Pavilion Bar, through on goal again - this time he turned provider, squaring the ball to Snowdon who slotted the ball into the empty net.
After some half-time changes from Vibes, they could not find another goal, still controlling the game after some hard work from the Vibes midfield.
The game finished 3-1 and Vibes were back to winning ways. Man of the match goes to Craig Altringham after a solid midfield shift as per usual. UTV.
No game next week as the lads are off the Blackpool for the gaffers stag do.
