Lion score five in one sided affair against FC Vibes on Thursday night
The game started as it went on with former Vibes midfielder Jack Stonehouse scoring the opener five minutes into the match.
John Sutherland denied a second in the 20th minute as Lion whipped a ball into the box and found Stonehouse but the Vibes keeper was equal to it.
Six minutes later Lion did get their second as a ball was whipped into the box and found number 18 who produced a great looping header into the far post.
However, the game was fairly open, Lion never had too many concrete chances and Vibes had a couple of chances of their own.
In the 44th minute Jamie Tumilty had a chance to make it three nil but his shot was well saved by Sutherland but only to Tumilty again who tried another shot but it came off the bar and was cleared.
It took just a minute into the second half for the third Lion goal as the Lion midfielder tried a shot from distance and flew into the top corner - a great strike.
Vibes had a great chance in the 51st minute Alex Weegram played a great ball out to Elliott Campbell on the right but the fullbacks cross was well defended.
There was not really a good chance in the game, Vibes worked hard against a better opposition and in turn made them work hard for their goals.
In the 78th minute Campbell played a miss-timed back pass to his keeper, straight into path of the Lion forward who had an easy chance to finish and he took it and made it 4-0.
Four minutes later, mentally and physically tired Vibes made another costly mistake as Craig Altringham played a ball straight to Lion who could take it round the Vibes keeper and score.
Sutherland kept it at just five in the 89th minute producing a great save to deny a sixth in what would be the last action of the game.
Plenty positives to take from the game and the lads worked hard with a limited squad to keep going and if not for two individual mistakes it would have been a more than fair scoreline.
