Vibes lose to Lion in Premier League clash as Jamie Jobson bids farewell with a penalty miss.
It was a nightmare start for Elliott Campbell's tricky whites as Ollie Watt took down his man in the box in the eighth minute and the referee had no choice but to point to the spot which was converted by the Lion man.
And it only got worse as Jamie Tumilty doubled the home side's lead with a great strike in from the left that Campbell could not do much about.
Vibes looked beaten and even more so after Scott Close headed home a cross, that came from a cleared corner, to make it 3-0 in the 39th minute.
The second half was more of the same and Vibes grew into the game and looked like they could snatch a result.
In the 60th minute the referee awarded Vibes a penalty after a handball in the box, Jobson stepped up to take it but hit into the post.
However, the goal did come for Vibes through Josh Daley who was handed a goal after he tapped it in after the Lion keeper played it straight to him in the 65th minute.
Five minutes later, Olly Burrows hit a great strike into the bottom corner but the Lion keeper made a great stop to deny a second for Vibes.
Any hope of a comeback was squandered in the 73rd minute as Tom Lea played a loose pass straight to former Vibes player Jack Stonehouse who fired it into the net to make it 4-1.
But that was pretty much how the game ended, disappointing result but still a lot to play for in the season. Man of the match to Barry Milligan after a decent display at centre-back. UTV.
