Report: FC Vibes 15-0 Sanctuary

Elliott Campbell gets first win as manager of Vibes with a 15-0 thrashing of Sanctuary Rangers in the OrangeBox Champions League.

In just the fourth minute, Vibes opened the scoring James Hogan, playing in a new deeper role, worked his way into the box with a lovely turn but was hacked down by the Sanctuary defender - the referee had no choice but to point to the spot and he stepped up and slotted it away.

Two minutes later the lead was doubled, Hogan slotted through Aiden Lamb who cooly converted into the bottom corner.

Vibes kept the pressure on and in the tenth minute, Craig Altringham made it 3-0 with a solid finish after Campbell played him in.

After three goals, Vibes had a sense the job was done and the quality of play dropped, however, things picked up just before the halftime whistle.

Altringham turned provider at the 44-minute mark, playing the ball out wide to Alex Costello who put away his chance into the far post.

Just before the ref called for the break, Joe Boarder played it to Hogan's feet and shot into the bottom corner from just inside the area which did enough to beat the Sanctuary keeper.

Five nil up at the break but there was a sense it could have been much more, and after a couple of changes, things were underway again.

It took just six minutes into the second half to make it 6-0 this time through Olly Burrows who carried the ball from deep and worked his way into the box and his shot rebounded off the far post and into the net.

Two minutes later, Lamb hit a shot that was blocked by the hand of a Sanctuary defender, this time, Ben Relton stepped up to take it and made no mistake to make it seven goals to the good.

Another two minutes later, it was eight, Altringham played through Lamb brilliantly, who rounded the oncoming keeper and turned it into the empty net.

Guess what, another two minutes later, it was nine as the keeper played the ball straight to Altringham who shot from range and got his second of the game.

Just a minute later this time, Burrows crossed the ball into the far post to find Lamb to complete his hattrick with a distinguished finish.

Lewis Boylen played Hogan down the wing, in the 65th minute, and he played it across the box to Jamie Jobson who got his first in the game.

A minute later, basically, a repeat of the first goal Hogan squared it through to Jobson who doubled his tally on Sunday morning with a dispatched finish into the bottom corner.

Relton picks up the ball and squared it to Boarder who makes no mistake to place it into the bottom corner to make it 13-0 in the 71st minute.

Ollie Watt curled home a superb effort into the far top corner, making the move up from the back, after some great play by him and Relton a minute later.

Hogan finally got his hattrick in the game, in the 75th minute, Burrows found him and he fired it home - that was all she wrote as the referee called the game off early.

What a game, first one back after a couple of months' break with games being called off over winter. Great effort from all involved but James Hogan and Aiden Lamb won man of the match with their goal-scoring efforts. UTV.
