Vibes through to next round of County Cup after beating Ryhope at home
Rhyope started off the better side in the game, having some early chances but John Sutherland back in goal for Vibes was equal to them.
And in the 22nd minute Ryhope took the lead, the man came in from the left hand side and snook in a shot at the near post.
Vibes turned it around and Michael Connolly was fouled on the edge of the area, stood up to take it and curled it into the top corner in the 26th minute to get the equaliser.
Not much else happened in the first half, the game opened up in the second and things got interesting.
In the 57th minute Vibes took the lead for the first time in the game, Connolly picked up the ball and played it out wide to Ollie Watt off the bench who finished well with his left foot.
Just five minutes later Joe Boarder doubled Vibes' lead after Watt played the ball inside to him and he took a touch and powered it home.
However, up the over end Ryhope made it 3-2 just five minutes after that as the number 14 was played through on goal and beat Sutherland in the one on one.
Vibes tried to hold on but in the 80th minute the Ryhope forward came in off the right hand side and slotted it in for the equaliser.
But just two minutes later Connolly played it out wide to Watt who whipped a ball into the corridor of uncertainty and was turned in by a Ryhope defender to get the potential winner.
In the 85th minute things went from bad to worse for Ryhope as Vibes got a fifth as Watt got his third assist off the bench squaring the ball to Jack Harrison who tapped it into the empty net.
And in the 89th minute Lewis Boylen got a well deserved goal for his hard work in midfield after Boarder played it out to him on the right and he squeezed it in at the near post to get Vibes' sixth and final goal.
Great game, Vibes played some great football and into the next round of the cup - Man of the match to Michael Connolly a real great creative outlet for the club and another great game.
