Report: FC Vibes 6-2 Headland

Vibes through to the next round of Ste Tierney after a 6-2 comeback victory over Headland at Brierton.

However, it was the Headland who took the lead just two minutes into the game as Craig Altringham fouled his man in the box and the resulting spot kick was converted.

Things went from bad to worse as in the 13th minute Headland doubled their lead as a cross from the right was headed home.

Vibes heads didn't drop and just three minutes later the deficit was halved as Jamie Ingram slotted home a dropped ball from the keeper.

Then Olly Burrows touched down a lovely Aiden Lamb cross to slot it past the Headland keeper in the 24th minute to level the scoring.

Elliott Campbell was equal to a Headland strike in the 27th minute to keep Vibes in the game and ensure the comeback was completed.

In the 38th minute, Vibes did take the lead as Campbell sent a long ball forward which found Jamie Jobson who made light work of the finish.

Just before halftime, Ollie Watt played a great ball to Lamb who slotted it away to make sure Vibes went into the second half 4-2 up.

Some changes came after half-time and the game quietened down for a time, Josh Daley had a chance for a goal in the 57th minute but the keeper made a great stop to tip it out for a corner.

The fifth goal came in the 65th minute as Altringham got on the end of a freekick routine to redeem himself from his early penalty blunder.

Burrows completed his brace in the 79th minute after Daley played him through from a short corner, Burrows came inside and finished beautifully into the bottom corner on his weaker foot

What a win in the end as Vibes make it two on the bounce now, Burrows with the man of the match after his quality display from left back. UTV.
