Report: FC Vibes 6-2 Doxford Athletic

Jamie Jobson, Barry Milligan (2), Ollie Watt and Michael Snowdon (2) score in competitive pre-season friendly as FC Vibes get the second win in as many games

Vibes got underway straight away with a goal in the third minute, Jamie Ingram played a great ball through to Snowdon who found Jobson in the box and tapped it home 1-0.

However, Doxford found their way back in in the 18th minute as Adam Linsel came out as the forward was through on goal; but could only clear the ball to another Doxford attacker who produced an excellent looped finish to level the scoring.

In the 23rd minute Doxford went in front as the Vibes defence failed to clear their lines meaning Doxford retained the position and the forward slipped through on goal and made it 2-1.

They were not in front for long as in the 26th minute, Josh Daley played through Barry Milligan who was one on one and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.

Vibes were in front and had the majority of the chances through the rest of the first half and into the second also.

In the 40th minute, Vibes retook the lead as Olly Burrows made a great run down the right-hand side, found Milligan in the box who fired it home.

It took a while to get things going in the second half but in the 65th minute Vibes doubled their lead, Watt from centre back made a great passing move and got into the box to get on the end of a Snowdon cross.

In the 80th minute Alex Costello produced an inch-perfect cross inside the area to Snowdon, who finished beautifully on that wand of a left foot.

Just a minute later Vibes got their last as skipper Craig Altringham played a great ball through to Snowdon who finished well forcing the ref to blow early.

Great game and a great test for Vibes, Michael Snowdon with the man of the match, two goals and an assist and pre-season top goal scorer.
