Report: FC Vibes 4-3 Hope & Anchor

Vibes back to winning ways, after three defeats on the bounce, with victory over Hope & Anchor.

Barry Milligan and Ollie Watt scored a goal each within six minutes, but Hope & Anchor got one back in the 19th minute and again in the 28th minute.

Liam Jackson got two goals to make it 4-2 in the 36th and then 81st minute before Hope & Anchor got a consolation in the 84th minute.

The game started strongly as Jamie Ingram played a great ball down the right flank from right back, just two minutes in, that Milligan chased down into the box and produced a lovely finish past the keeper.

In the sixth minute Vibes made it two Craig Altringham played a lovely through ball that Watt got on the end of and rounded the keeper, slotting it into the empty net.

Karl Martin made a great save in goal to deny a Hope & Anchor opener just a minute later.

In the 16th minute Milligan player a great ball into the feet of Jamie Jobson who played it to Alex Weegram, but his shot was claimed by the Hope & Anchor keeper.

However, in the 19th minute Hope & Anchor did find their opener, Jack Stonehouse made a mistake at centre back, passing it straight to the opposition striker whose shot was saved by Martin, but trickled in after a bobble.

Hope & Anchor then equalised in the 28th minute as the corner was whipped and met the head of the big man TJ, who found the back of the net with ease.

It could have been 3-2 to the Hope & Anchor but Martin made a great save in the 31st minute.

But it was Vibes that made it 3-2, Jackson headed from a lovely cross from Milligan, after the corner was played short in the 36th minute.

If not for some poor finishing from Hope and Anchor they could have levelled the scoring in the 60th minute, the forwards strike was wide of the post.

Jacko got his second of the game, now playing in midfield he made a great run in to the box and produced a lovely finish into the bottom corner in the 81st minute to make it 4-2.

That was not it for the scoring, however, as Vibes could not clear the ball in the box, and it fell to the right man at the right time who simply tapped it into the net.

Not the best of performances from Vibes, but back to winning ways and now look ahead to Welfare Athletic on Sunday.

Man of the match goes to Jobson after some great work up top, linking up the play and being a constant danger for the Hope & Anchor defence.
