Jamie Jobson (2) and Michael Connolly score for Vibes in John Dowson Memorial Trophy game to advance to the next round with one game to go
The game was fairly open in the first half and it was actually Greatham who opened the scoring after Lewis Boylen uncharacteristically loses the ball and it allowed the away side to break and score in the 9th minute.
Alex Costello came close from distance to level the scoring but his shot cannoned off the bar.
After some changes at half time, Vibes came out firing and in the 53rd minute Craig Altringham's effort was blocked by the hand of the Greatham defender and referee Mark Gale had no choice but to blow for a spot kick.
Vibes resident deadball specialist Michael Connolly stepped up and slotted it home to finally level the scoring at Brierton.
In the 70th minute Altringham played a defence splitting pass to play through Ollie Watt, who was through on goal but chose to square it to Jamie Jobson off the bench who tapped it into the empty net to put Vibes into the lead.
The win was wrapped up with virtually the last kick off the game after Boylen's searching ball forward found Jobson on the run who dinked it over the oncoming keeper and walked the ball into the back of the net.
A great win for FC Vibes every player worked hard to make sure they got the win and man of the match goes to Josh Daley for another top performance in the midfield.
