Report: FC Vibes 3-1 Blackhall CC FC

Boarder brace gifts Vibes first win of the season in comfortable 3-1 over Blackhall

Jack Stonehouse opened the scoring in the 35th minute and two minutes later Joe Boarder scored and again in the 42nd minute.

In the 52nd minute the Blackhall number seven scored what was only a consolation.

Vibes started strong and within ten minutes could have been two goals up if not for some offside calls.

Blackhall maybe should have scored in the 12th minute, but the forwards shot was high and over and again in the 14th minute, but John Sutherland was out to make the tackle.

The first goal came through some great play by Stonehouse in the box in the 35th minute and he was fouled and took the penalty himself and slotted it into the bottom right.

Stonehouse was again involved in the second goal just two minutes later, playing the ball out wide to Barry Milligan who delivered the ball into the back post and Boarder was there to tap it in.

Milligan was again the creator for the third goal in the 42nd minute, crossing the ball in from the right who found Boarder again at the back post who volleyed it past the Blackhall keeper.

Sutherland denied a great opportunity in the 43rd as Kev Devine’s shot was tipped round the post and eventually cleared by the Vibes defence.

In the 51st minute Sutherland made another great save as he was out to make the save after the Blackhall number nine was played through on goal.

The Blackhall goal came a minute later as Number 7 was played through on goal down the left and he finessed it into the post, a great finish for what was just the consolation.

Sutherland again denied a Blackhall goal tipping an effort from distance over the bar and the corner was cleared.

Blackhall won a penalty in the 83rd minute as Liam Jackson made a foul in the box, however he was adamant he did not touch him, Devine stepped up to take the penalty and skied it.

A very convincing victory for Vibes, who at parts in the first half looked incredible – Jack Stonehouse again wins man of the match after some great working in attacking midfield.

Vibes next game comes away at Sunderland Velocity in the County Cup.

Vibes XI: Sutherland (c); Costello, Pearson, Jackson, Trathan; Altringham, Ad. Thompson; Milligan, Stonehouse, Watt; Boarder
