Report: FC Vibes 2-5 Headland FC

Vibes suffer first league defeat of the season after humbling defeat to a competitive Headland side

Headland got into the game early doors and forced Adam Linsel into making a couple of good saves to keep the score level.

They kept pushing and eventually broke the deadlock in the 19th minute as number 8 was played through down the left hand side and slotted it into the near post.

Vibes replied quickly as Joe Boarder picked up his 15th of the season with a strike from distance, after Michael Snowdon played it to his feet, that beat Cullen Watson in goal for Headland.

In the 39th minute Headland retook the lead as the number 9's deflected effort trickled in past Linsel in goal.

Bad turned to worse as straight away Headland won it back and made it 3-1 with a cross into the box that found a man at the far post.

In the 44th minute Liam Jackson played a deflected pass that played through the Headland forward who was one on one and found the back of the net.

The Headland number 9 got on the scoresheet again with another goal in the 49th minute after some Vibes changes at half time.

With a sense of the game being done by Headland Vibes could not create anything going forward for most of the second half.

Danny Trathan gave Vibes a glimmer of hope in the 78th minute working hard to win the ball back high up the pitch and the fullback fired it into the bottom corner.

However, it was too little too late and the final scored ended 5-2 to Headland, Tro won man of the match for the goal.
