Report: FC Vibes 2-3 Darlington Grey Horse

Vibes out of County Cup after difficult test at home to Darlington Grey Horse

After a nervy start to the game, Vibes got in front in the game as skipper Craig Altringham slotted Aiden Lamb through and the number 22 scored on 22 minutes to make it 1-0 to the home side.

Grey Horse's heads did not drop, however, and throughout the first half tested the Vibes defence but could not yet breakthrough.

This changed five minutes after the break, the number 10, who had a great game in midfield levelled the scoring and Vibes were chasing a result.

In the 59th minute, Grey Horse found themselves in front for the first time in the game, through the number 10 once again. Great work down the right and it was cut back and slotted into the empty net.

Fortunes changed for the home side as Lewis Boylen broke through on goal in the 67th minute, but was brought down, referee Mark Gale had no choice but to point to the spot.

Up stepped Vibes' cup final goalscorer Michael Snowdon, who cooly dispatched the spot kick bringing Vibes on level terms.

However, Grey Horse again showed resilience and got back in front, Altringham played a dangerous ball across the defence which was snatched by the Darlington forward and he put his side in front.

The game ended with Darlington Grey Horse advancing into the next round, the man of the match for Vibes goes to Olly Burrows, a constant danger down the left. Dick of the day, Craig.
