Report: FC Vibes 0-4 Lion O’Malley’s

Andrew Ross scores hattrick as Lion O’Malley’s claim all three points in easy victory over FC Vibes

Ross scored his goals in the 9th, 28th and 50th minute and Jackson Waller scored in the 22nd minute.

Lion started strongly, in the 7th minute the number 13 for Lion shot but it was well saved by John Sutherland in goal for Vibes who parried it out for a corner.

But Lion kept on the pressure and two minutes later, Danny Trathan failed to get good contact on header for a clearance and it fell to Ross inside the box who headed home.

In the 22nd minute Jackson Waller scored a spectacular volley on the edge of the box that flew past the Vibes goal.

The goals kept coming for Lion and in the 28th minute Trathan gave away a penalty after a foul in the box and Ross converted.

The last goal came in the 50th minute as Ross was played through on goal and finished well to complete his hattrick.

Vibes day went from bad to worse as in the 58th minute Jack Stonehouse was sin binned, meaning Vibes were down to 10 men for ten minutes.

Not a good day at the office for Vibes and there must be some improvement for next weeks big away game in the county cup against Billingham Cowpen Club.

Vibes XI: Sutherland (c); Costello, Jackson, Pearson, Trathan; Altringham, A. Thompson; Milligan, Stonehouse, Watt; Jobson

Subs: M. Connelly, E. Campbell, A. Weegram, An. Thompson, J. Boarder
