FC Vibes make it four wins on the bounce after comfortably seeing out Duke of Cleveland in the Ste Tierney Cup
Vibes took control of the game from the get go and had a good chance to open the scoring from a corner in the eighth minute but it fell to nothing.
If not for Adam Linsel in goal Duke of Cleveland could have got the first in the game but the Vibes shot stopper was equal to the effort on goal in the 14th minute.
However, Vibes got the opener in the 17th minute after Anth Thompson played a long ball over the top of the Duke defence that Jamie Jobson took down well and lobbed his shot over the on coming keeper 1-0.
It was just three minutes later when he got his, and Vibes', second goal, as he took the ball down the wing and crossed but it was blocked by the Duke defenders arm the referee pointed to the spot and Jobson stepped up and slotted it home.
The third goal came in the 33rd minute, a great one-two from Jobson who played through Michael Snowdon and he finished well past the Duke keeper.
Just before the half time whistle Jobson nearly completed his hat trick direct from a freekick but the keeper made a great stop to deny him.
The second half was a bit slower with a sense from Vibes that the game was tied up in the first half.
Liam Jackson, off the bench, played captain Craig Altringham through on goal and he side footed the ball into the bottom far corner to finish the game.
In the 73rd minute Vibes won another penalty and Alex Costello stepped up to take and blazed the ball over the bar and into the gardens on Heathfield Drive.
Another day at the office for Vibes who continue their good form this season, Anth Thompson for man of the match after a solid game at the back and an assist too.
