Vibes suffer first loss of the season after a dominating 3 Lion performance at Grayfields
Vibes started off strong with an early Joe Boarder shot that tested the 3 Lion keeper, but that was pretty much the only opportunity for Vibes in the first half.
3 Lion enjoyed much of the positive play, Vibes not retaining the ball well and failed to create real chances.
It took just two minutes after the half-time break for 3 Lion to take the lead, a free header from a corner.
After being behind for the majority of the second half, Vibes could not really get going - James Hogan, off the bench, created a few chances but none troubling of the 3 Lion keeper.
In the 82nd minute 3 Lion doubled their lead attack down the left-hand side, ball was played into the box, Elliott Campbell was there on the line but could not prevent the ball from going in.
Vibes heads dropped and 3 Lion got their third, just two minutes later, Ollie Watt fouled his man on the edge of the area.
The freekick was whipped in that hit off the crossbar and fell to the 3 Lion number 9, who headed home unchallenged.
The game ended 3-0 to 3 Lion, a bad day at the office and MOTM goes to Hogan who played well in the second half, creating chances and even putting the ball into the back of the net, which was ruled offside. Go again next week UTV.
