Match Report: 7VEN FC 5-0 Gillen Arms

7VEN win their fifth pre-season friendly after a very comfortable second half at Brierton.

7VEN got the perfect start on Sunday afternoon going 1-0 in front just 11 minutes into the game, Josh Daley played a great through ball to Aiden Lamb who slotted into the bottom corner for his first of the season.

Liam Wright produced a fantastic triple save to deny Ollie Watt a second for 7VEN, he played really well in goal for Gillens Arms.

That was the last real action in the first half, after a few changes at the break the Terracers came out with a point to prove and quickly made it two.

The second came through last season's top goalscorer Michael Snowdon who finished well after a cross from Trialist A after an initial save from Wright in the 52nd minute.

It took just two minutes later for the third as Lewis Boylen, off the bench played through Snowdon on goal who dispatched his second into the back of the net.

It took up until the 78th minute for the fourth in the match, Jamie Jobson chased down a ball on the left-hand side and played it inside to Euan Devonshire who took it round the keeper and squeezed it in from a tight angle, his first for the club.

7VEN put the game well and truly to bed in the 85th minute, Boylen again the provider as he played Daley through over the top and he made no mistake for the 5th.

Man of the match goes to Adam Thompson for a faultless first-half display, his first start after a long spell out injured. UT7.
